The Pousada de Vila Pouca da Beira is installed in the Desagravo Convent, the building of which Bishop D.Francisco de Lemos de Faria Pereira was responsible, at the end of the eighteenth century. The Convent was erected with the motto penance, austerity and sanctity.The history is part of the building which has already had many different types of uses, where the housing of the homeless ex-Portuguese colonists between 1975 and 1983 was highlighted.
