The Pestana Grand is one of the best and most prestigious 5-star-hotels in Funchal, located on the Ponta da Cruz cliff overlooking the ocean and Cabo Girão.

It is only a 30-minute walk from Formosa beach and with direct access to the Lido Promenade, Madeira’s famous seafront promenade. The island’s largest outdoor saltwater swimming pool is surrounded by magnificent gardens and with a view of the sea.

The Hotel has a SPA with jacuzzi, sauna, gym, Turkish bath as well as a panoramic indoor swimming pool (25º), in addition to massage and/or spa treatment services.

For your meals a fantastic gastronomic experience is included at this hotel. The rate includes a daily meal that you can choose between lunch and dinner, drinks not included. For lunch, guests have the option of choosing between the Pool Bar and the Italian Restaurant Trattoria de la Fontana. For dinner, guests can choose between a Buffet service or one of our à la carte restaurants. DESTINATION AND LOCATION

Madeira is known worldwide for its New Year's celebrations. If you prefer to come in June, you can watch the equally magnificent fireworks for the Festival do Atlântico. If you choose April–May, it is the renowned Festa da Flor, with flower carpets, expositions, shows and the main attraction—the colourful parade, which brings much joy to the island.

You can spend all of your pent-up energy on hikes along fantastic paths and trails, or you can release it taking brisk swims in the middle of the Atlantic. If you go out in search of whales or dolphins, on one of the many boat trips, you will likely stop at one of several coves and dive straight into the contrasting greens and blues of this breathtaking island.

Discover the picturesque Santana area and the incredible natural pools of Porto Moniz, of unique natural beauty. In the Curral das Freiras, it is the island’s interior that reveals all the splendour of Madeira and the impressive forest views.
