The Pestana Palace Hotel, an urban resort located in Lisbon, has just received two awards in the categories of Portugal's Leading Conference Hotel and Portugal's Leading Hotel at 2007 World Travel Awards. The winners of the World Travel Awards 2007 were known yesterday, in a ceremony held in Newcastle - United Kingdom - that distinguished the best in the world in different areas of the Travel and Tourism Industry.
The election of the winners was made by more than a hundred sixty thousand professionals of the Tourism area from more than 190 countries.

These distinctions reward Pestana Palace for the refurbishment held during the first semester of 2007, which represented an investment of one million Euros.
