The Pestana Hotel Group is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its guests and employees. We therefore ensure that all our hotels comply with the guidelines issued by the health authorities of each country.

  • All employees are duly equipped with personal protective equipment, as appropriate for the performance of their duties.

    We have intensified the sanitisation and disinfection of surfaces and equipment, both in the rooms as well as the common areas.

    The mandatory use of a mask will depend on the measures issued by the local authorities and this may be revised to comply with any updates.

    At the moment, in Portugal, the use of a mask is compulsory whenever you are indoors;

  • Before arriving at Pestana Hotel Group

    Prior to your stay, we provide information via email of all essential protection measures that are in place, in the context of COVID-19.

    We suggest you consult our communication channels – pestanagroup.com, pestana.com and the Pestana App – should you require further clarification.

  • Online check-in (if applicable)

    We recommend that all guests use the online check-in service by registering their details at pestana.com or via the Pestana App. In this way, we can reduce the time needed in the lobby and reception areas.

     

    REQUIREMENT TO PRESENT A DIGITAL CERTIFICATE OR NEGATIVE TEST

     

    The requirement to present a digital certificate or negative test will always be implemented in accordance with the measures issued by the local authorities, at the moment in Portugal it is not necessary to present a Digital Certificate of Vaccination, Digital Certificate of Recovery or Negative Test to access the Hotels.

  • DURING YOUR STAY AT THE PESTANA HOTEL GROUP

  • Reception

    We suggest payment with credit/debit cards for all consumption, as this will facilitate the “Express Check-out” process.

  • Guest Rooms

    The use of paper materials or other objects has been minimised, thus avoiding unnecessary handling by several people.

    The App’s features have been improved, making it possible to request Room Service or room support through a mobile phone and also to access a wide range of press publications, in partnership with Press Reader (service available in selected units).

  • Restaurants and Bars

    We provide the menus of the restaurants and bars on the Pestana App, as well as on the screens and through QR Codes made available in these spaces.

  • Beaches, swimming pools and other activities

    Access to swimming pools is always permitted in accordance with the rules stipulated by local authorities.

    All activities have been reviewed so as to respect the restrictions on maximum capacity for each space. Whenever possible, activities will be held outdoors and without the use of materials that can be shared.
