All employees are duly equipped with personal protective equipment, adjusted for the performance of their duties.We have intensified the sanitisation and disinfection of surfaces and equipment, whether in the rooms or common areas.All the maximum capacities of the public areas have been reviewed in accordance with the restrictions in force - lifts, swimming pools, terraces, among others.We have created specific signage and have made adjustments to spaces to ensure social distancing.The use of a mask is currently mandatory when moving around both indoors and outdoors. The implementation of this measure will always depend on the legislation in force.The Pestana Hotel Group Hotels and Pousadas are certified by Turismo de Portugal with the Clean & Safe seal.

Online check-in (if applicable)We recommend that all guests register their data on pestana.com or through the Pestana App for online check-in purposes. In this way, we can reduce the time needed in the lobby and reception areas.REQUIREMENT TO PRESENT A DIGITAL CERTIFICATE OR NEGATIVE TEST
In accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 91-A/2021, check-in at the hotel units requires the presentation, by guests over 12 years of age, of an EU COVID Digital Certificate or a negative COVID test result:
Customers who are not hotel guests who intend to frequent the Restaurants or Bars on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, as well as on Fridays from 7pm, must present the EU COVID Digital Certificate or test with a negative result.
- A PCR TEST, within 72 hours prior to presentation;
- A RAPID ANTIGEN TEST, verified by a certified entity, within 48 hours prior to its presentation;
- A SELF-TEST and its result, under the supervision of a health professional who certifies that it has been carried out, within 24 hours prior to its presentation;
- SELF-TEST, carried out on the spot, at the door of the establishment or space where the guest intends to stay, under the supervision of Pestana Hotel Group employees.
DURING YOUR STAY AT THE PESTANA HOTEL GROUP
We suggest payment with credit/debit cards for all consumption, as this will facilitate the “Express Check-out” process.
We have changed the check-in and check-out times to 4 p.m. and 11 a.m. respectively, in order to adjust the room cleaning routines, ensuring the minimum times between usage.
All keys will be disinfected.
Guests will be informed upon arrival about cleaning procedures, and it is possible to reduce their frequency if they wish.
The App’s features have been improved, making it possible to request Room Service or room support through a mobile phone and also to access a wide range of press publications, in partnership with Press Reader (service available in selected units).
Restaurants and Bars
We have reviewed all the services and depending on the hotel, we will be offering a Grab & Go or Take-Away service, an à la Carte Restaurant Service or a Buffet with Service.
Pre-booking of a table is mandatory so that we can ensure compliance with the maximum capacity restrictions. You can book through the Pestana App (functionality not available for all hotels) or at the Hotel Reception.
We provide the menus of the restaurants and bars on the Pestana App, as well as on the screens and through QR Codes made available in these spaces. Whenever a paper menu is required, it will be for single use only.
Beaches, swimming pools and other activities
Children’s playgrounds, kid’s clubs, gyms, spas and indoor swimming pools may not be operating.
All activities have been reviewed so as to respect the restrictions on maximum capacity for each space. Whenever possible, activities will be held outdoors and without the use of materials that can be shared.
All materials used will be subjected to disinfection after each use.
