In which hotels and under which conditions can I use a Gift Card?
The Gift Card can be used for accommodation services in units of Pestana Hotel Group in Portugal, Pestana Hotels&Resorts, Pestana Pousadas de Portugal, Pestana Collection Hotels and Pestana CR7 Lifestyle brands. Valid for accommodation, bed and breakfast, half-board and All Inclusive rates, not valid at franchised Pousadas and Pestana Tróia Eco-Resort.
• The Gift Card is valid for 12 months after the date of purchase. Once this period has passed, the Gift Voucher expires and it is not possible to reactivate it.
• The Gift Card amount will be deducted from the total amount payable during the stay when making the final payment.
• A Gift Card can only be used on a single reservation. If the total amount of the stay is less than the value of the Gift Card, the difference will not be refunded.
• It is not possible to use multiple Gift Cards in a reservation, that is, each reservation allows the use of only one Gift Card.
• Cancellations: Reservations made with Gift Card can be canceled according to the cancellation policy of the selected rate; however, the Gift Card will not be available for a new reservation, becoming inactive.
• Exchanges or Returns: up to 15 days after purchase.

1. How do I receive the Gift Card?
If you opt-in for a physical delivery
The physical voucher will be sent to the indicated address in "Voucher Shipping Details" at the checkout time. The delivery timeframe will vary depending on the delivery country. If payed by bank transfer, it may take up to 48 hours for the voucher to be sent (working days).
Continental Portugal and Islands:
Delivery may take up to 96 hours to be made at the address indicated, unless we are prevented from doing so by circumstances beyond our control.
Delivery will be made within 12 days to your chosen address, unless we are prevented from doing so by circumstances beyond our control.
If you opt-in for a digital delivery
The digital voucher will be sent, immediately after payment confirmation, to the email address specified on "Voucher Shipping Details" at the checkout time. If payed by bank transfer, it may take up to 48 hours for the voucher to be sent (working days).
2. What is the expiry date of the Gift Card?
The Gift Card is valid for 12 months after the purchase date. The Gift Card must be used during this period and the check-out date must also be within the year of validity of it.
3. How can I use the Gift Card?
The Gift Card has a mandatory pre-booking, through pestana.com or +44 2034 677355. This can only be done from 3 days after the date of purchase and is subject to availability. Upon check-in, it is advisable to present the Gift Card, although it is not mandatory. The Gift Card amount will be deducted from the total amount payable during the stay, at the payment moment.
4. How can I pay for a reservation with the Gift Card?
The Gift Card that has a value less than the value of the reservation, is accepted as a method of payment for part of the reservation, and the remaining amount must be paid through another payment method: Credit card or PayPal (in the case of pre-paid rates). The Gift Card that has a value equal to or greater than the value of the reservation, will be accepted as a method of payment of the reservation, with the value of the reservation being fully paid by the Gift Card. If the face value of the Gift Card is higher than the value of the reservation, no refund of the remaining amount will be made.
5. Can I accumulate two or more Gift Cards?
No. Only one Gift Card can be used per reservation.
6. Can I exchange the Gift Card?
Yes, up to 15 days after the purchase date.
7. Can I return the Gift Card?
Yes, up to 15 days after the purchase date.
8. Can I cancel my reservation with a Gift Card?
Yes, according to the cancellation policy of the selected rate, however, the Gift Card will not be available again for a new reservation, it will become inactive. For cancellation policies stated as "without costs", the same does not apply to Gift Cards; reservations, once the Gift Cards will become inactive.
The Pestana Hotel Group may temporarily close some hotels whenever necessary, at its sole and free decision, being temporarily excluded from the scope of this agreement, always committing itself to forward requests to other hotels should that be necessary.
9. Can I change my reservation with a Gift Card?
Yes, you can change the dates considering the same Hotel/Pousada, chosen in the reservation. See the cancellation policy for the selected rate.
It is not possible to change the Hotel/Pousada, since your reservation will be cancelled and your Gift Card will be permanently inactive.
