and offers a light buffet where you can find sweets, salty food and sandwiches, as well as salads. It also has a station of crepes made to order, sweet and savory, which you do not need to be hungry to devour. With ice cream and chocolate, they will delight the little ones.
Caravela Restaurant: Large, elegant and sophisticated, with several modest areas and some particularly bright areas,
this buffet restaurant can entertain a lot of people. It also presents some very original features such as the
themed showcookings and an excellent breakfast, where all products are fresh and freshly prepared.
Madeira Lover's Restaurant: The only thing you have to know about the Madeira Lover's is that no meal can be considered local if it does not start with a "bolo do caco" entrée with garlic butter. Serve with marinated olives for a true regional experience. Taste a wheat or tomato soup to prepare for what is coming: a nice tuna steak with villain sauce or a classic sword fish fillet with banana and passion fruit sauce.
The incredible satay gives the typical flavor of the island to the meat. For the side dishes, be sure to try the fried corn. For dessert, unsurprisingly, Madeira wine is king and accompanies most of the suggestions. But the passion fruit pudding is a fresh and delicious way to end your trip to the sister island of Porto Santo.
Med Restaurant: In a
thematic sophisticated atmosphere with original decoration, you can find a wine list with the most popular Portuguese wines of each region: Esporão, Fiúza, Defesa, Quinta do Carmo, Esteva and Dona Ermelinda. Taste the sparkling wine that is offered at the entrance and decide the best way to accompany the dishes that you are offered.
In the entrée department, the flavors begin a gentle walk: goat cheese and nuts, a layered pastry of pumpkin and cream cheese mousse, calf in carpaccio and a mousse of crab and shrimp gazpacho accompanied with herbs from the garden, in a presentation akin to the Mediterranean culinary tradition.
Since you are in Porto Santo, you have to taste the fish: in golden bream fillets with shrimp escabeche and coriander mousse in confit cod with chickpea puree or, in a little pot, octopus and limpets rice, with tomato and coriander, very typical of the region.
Among meats, the stuffed chicken breast is king. The lamb chops in pistachio crust and pork medallions with alheira sausage are also excellent. The dream ends with a chocolate fondant or apple crumble with custard tart ice cream. The berries bavaroise with mint mousse and a the trilogy of flavors also end the Mediterranean experience in the middle of the Atlantic with a golden key.
