Pestana Porto – A Brasileira is located in Porto’s city centre, just 4 minutes from the iconic Avenida dos Aliados and 12 minutes from the Ribeira district.
Built in the famous “Cafetaria Portuense A Brasileira”, the first to serve coffee in a cup at the beginning of the 20th century, this new historic hotel was built preserving its original features.
This premium hotel, nearby the Sá da Bandeira Theatre and the famous São Bento Train Station, offers a gymnasium, 2 meeting rooms, a restaurant inspired by Portuguese Cuisine, a French Patio with natural vertical garden and the A Brasileira café which boasts over 120 years history.
The 89 rooms and suites are distributed across several floors, each being thematically tied one of the spices or products imported during the Portuguese maritime expansion on the 15th and 16th centuries. They are: anise, coffee, cinnamon, tea, chocolate and pink pepper.

In the heart of Porto’s historic centre, A Brasileira Bistrô introduces a new dining concept. A space where the iconic history of the building meets a contemporary, cosmopolitan and vibrant approach to gastronomy, in an elegant yet informal atmosphere.
Led by Chef João Paulo Santos, the menu combines technique, quality ingredients and creativity in dishes full of character — designed to be discovered, shared and ordered time and again. The Bife à Brasileira is a classic and the house speciality. The drinks menu features classic cocktails and a carefully selected wine list.

It's located on Rua de Sá da Bandeira, in the historic center of Porto, about 4 minutes from Avenida dos Aliados and 12 minutes from Ribeira, next to São Bento Station and the Sá da Bandeira Theatre, and close to the Clérigos Tower, the Cathedral and the Dom Luís I Bridge.
Yes. It's a 5-star city break hotel, ideal for romantic getaways and families, with 89 rooms and suites on themed floors inspired by spices (anise, coffee, cinnamon, tea, chocolate, and pink peppercorns).
Spring (April to June) and early autumn (September to October) are the best times, with mild weather and less rain. June stands out for the São João festivities (night of the 23rd to the 24th). From Baixa, you can easily walk to the historic center all year round.
From Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), take the Porto Metro Line E (purple) to Trindade (approximately 27-37 min). From there, it's a short walk to Avenida dos Aliados or change lines to Aliados/São Bento; the hotel is within easy walking distance.
The hotel has a 24-hour gym. It does not have a swimming pool or spa. It also features a French patio with a vertical garden and meeting rooms.
