Historic and charming
In the centre of Porto, just minutes from Avenida dos Aliados, the Pestana A Brasileira Porto occupies the building of the historic A Brasileira Cafeteria, the first in the city to serve coffee in a cup in the early 20th century. The story of A Brasileira is tied to Portuguese trade routes and the country’s connection to Brazil, through which Adriano Vale brought coffee to Porto and founded A Brasileira. That heritage remains central to the hotel’s identity today.
The 89 rooms and suites are spread across themed floors inspired by products linked to Porto’s trading history: aniseed, coffee, cinnamon, tea, chocolate and pink pepper. Within this setting, the room categories take their names from the language of coffee: Blend is the starting point of the range, Origin offers a more refined selection, Signature has a character of its own and Reserve is the most exclusive. Thus, both the building itself and the experience of staying at the hotel are imbued with the history of coffee.
The hotel also offers a fitness centre, two meeting rooms, a restaurant inspired by Portuguese cuisine, and the historic A Brasileira café, with over 120 years of history.

It's located on Rua de Sá da Bandeira, in the historic center of Porto, about 4 minutes from Avenida dos Aliados and 12 minutes from Ribeira, next to São Bento Station and the Sá da Bandeira Theatre, and close to the Clérigos Tower, the Cathedral and the Dom Luís I Bridge.
Yes. It's a 5-star city break hotel, ideal for romantic getaways and families, with 89 rooms and suites on themed floors inspired by spices (anise, coffee, cinnamon, tea, chocolate, and pink peppercorns).
Spring (April to June) and early autumn (September to October) are the best times, with mild weather and less rain. June stands out for the São João festivities (night of the 23rd to the 24th). From Baixa, you can easily walk to the historic center all year round.
From Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), take the Porto Metro Line E (purple) to Trindade (approximately 27-37 min). From there, it's a short walk to Avenida dos Aliados or change lines to Aliados/São Bento; the hotel is within easy walking distance.
