For lunch and dinner, fish is bought from local fishermen. Here you can taste the finest grilled red fish and grouper, horse mackerel, crabs, spider crabs, lobsters and squids, all freshly caught. All vegetables and fruits are grown by the hotel itself, so you can be sure that the juicy roasted sweet potato and the delicious tomato gratin are as fresh as they can be. The only non-local food available is meat, which is purchased with a certification and quality stamp. In fact, even the eggs are obtained from local chickens.
On Saturdays a barbecue dinner is served - whenever weather conditions allow - with performances by local Santomean groups which may include typical dances or capoeira choreographies, enthralling you in the warm night rhythms and astounding you with the musicality and body-awareness of those who are born with music in their muscles. Lose your inhibitions and join the dancers at the end of their performances.
