Our hotels in Barcelona
Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, in northeastern Spain, next to the Mediterranean, and the second largest Spanish city. It is known for Gaudí's modernist architecture (Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera), the medieval Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, the beaches of Barceloneta, and its gastronomy. The Pestana Arena Barcelona is located next to Plaça d'Espanya and the Las Arenas building, a central base for exploring the city.
In Barcelona, the Pestana Group operates the Pestana Arena Barcelona, a 4-star boutique hotel in the Sants district, less than a 5-minute walk from Plaça d'Espanya and approximately 3 minutes from the Las Arenas shopping center. It is close to the Fira de Barcelona, the Parc de Joan Miró, and a few minutes' walk from Barcelona Sants station, with easy access to the metro.
It can be visited all year round thanks to the Mediterranean climate, but the best times are spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October), with pleasant temperatures and fewer crowds. Summer is hot and very busy (ideal for the beach and festivals); winter is mild and allows you to visit the Sagrada Familia without long queues.
The gateway is Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN), approximately 15 km from the city center. You can reach the center in about 30 minutes: by metro on line L9 Sud (connects T1 and T2, with an airport ticket), by Aerobús (direct connection to Plaça de Catalunya in approximately 35 minutes), or by train. There is also a high-speed train to Barcelona Sants station, a few minutes' walk from the Pestana Arena Barcelona.
Gaudí's works (Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera), the Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, Barceloneta beach, the Picasso Museum and Ciutadella Park, and the Bunkers del Carmel for panoramic views. Near the Pestana Arena Barcelona are Plaça d'Espanya, the Fira, the Parc de Joan Miró and Montjuïc hill (castle, gardens and Magic Fountain).
The metro network covers the entire city and is the most practical way to get around, complemented by buses and trams. Many points in the historic center can be visited on foot. From the Pestana Arena Barcelona, the Espanya and Tarragona stations are a few minutes' walk away, with La Rambla a few stops from Plaça d'Espanya.
